Norfolk State sophomore outfielder Jalan Jones has been selected for the Minority Baseball Prospects HBCU All-Star Game.
The Sanford, N.C. native has batted .320 with 8 homers and 33 RBI. He’s recorded 33 hits, including 10 doubles and two triples, while 17 walks have contributed to his .396 on-base percentage; he also has swiped 12 bags on the season.
The Minority Baseball Prospects HBCU All-Star Game is in its fifth season. The annual event brings together 44 of the best players the HBCU ranks have to offer to showcase their talents as well as a celebration of the culture and heritage of HBCUs.
The 2025 iteration of the game will take place May 31 in Kannapolis, North Carolina at the state-of-the-art Atrium Health Park. First pitch is set for 6:30 pm EST.
